James highly valued listening to God’s Word and putting it into practice. His passion for following Christ will inspire you to do the same. This is the theme for our study of James found in James 1:22, “Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what It says." James’ conviction to take Scripture seriously will impact your life, and God’s Word will transform your thinking. James 1:25 teaches that looking into God’s perfect law will bring blessing to everything we do. My prayer is that God will take this study and allow it to be used by His Spirit to mature us in our faith. May God give each
one of us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts that are willing to obey.
