Castle Elementary School has invited us to provide volunteers to come alongside students, families and staff in an effort to meet needs in a variety of areas. This is a great opportunity for us as a church to demonstrate love and compassion to people in our own neighborhood. Almost every one of us has something to offer the children and families associated with the school. Listed below are some areas that need your help:
- Small Group/Individual Tutoring in reading or math
- Enrichment Activities for science, social science, computer science, art, music, dance, drama, cooking, nutrition, etc.
- Activities such as sports, board games, gardening, etc.
- Mentoring (classroom or lunchtime) in a small group or one on one to teach character building/social skills
- Office help – copying, filing, etc.
- Summer preschool program June 4-July 6, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
You can volunteer mornings (8:30-noon), afternoons (noon-2:30), or after school (3:00-6:00) any day Monday through Friday. You choose what day and time works for your schedule!
