Short Term Missions

Life change occurs when our perspective is expanded by seeing and serving alongside missionaries. LBC sends teams and individuals to many cities, states, and countries each year, places like: Romania, Thailand, Hungary, Kenya, Utah and Mexico. Church fundraising, individual and family donations provide the resources needed to send them. Every August, we host a Summer Missions report to celebrate all that God did through those we sent out. It is a great time of hearing what God is doing in and through the people willing to go and serve.

We want to help our youth and adults be involved in serving in a variety of places and roles this summer. There are two types of summer missionaries we support: those who go with an LBC team and those who go with a non-LBC organization (such as Campus Crusade, or Royal Servants, etc.) Those who will be serving with another organization can apply for financial support by filling out a generic STORM (Short-Term-OutReach-Ministries) application. Please note the deadlines on all applications, the fundraising timing and guidlines, and the necessary information required before processing of any funding requests can occur.

You can download, print and fill out the Generic STORM Application here and mail it to the church office.

LBC Missions Trips

Solvania: January 20-31, 2011
Budapest 2011 is now Solvenia 2011! Every 3 years, Campus Crusade for Christ holds a conference for all of its staff serving in Eastern Europe. Teams from LBC have been providing the children’s ministry for this conference since 2002, and we have been invited to return to the new location in Portoroz, Solvania. Please set aside January 20-31, 2011 if you plan to apply for this team.
