Our Missionaries
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:2
We realize that one of the goals of our church is to send missionaries to serve God around the world. When people sense His leading in this way, we need to support them with our prayers and financial support. The Faith Promise program is designed to support these mostly “home-grown” missionaries. Quality missions organizations, which focus on different tasks in various parts of the world, provide much of the training and on-site supervision and cooordination for the individuals and families.
These missionaries are supported by funds that are given above the general budget of the church. Individuals who give to Fatih Promise typically are designating a portion of their regular giving to go to this fund. We ask that you not decrease you regular giving, but consider “adding on” a monthly amount and designate it “Faith Promise.” Our bookkeeper will transfer the amount designated to the Faith Promise Fund. The result is that by pooling our resources, we can provide a dependable stream of monthly support to these missionaries. By adding more donors, we can continue to fund those from LBC who feel called by God to go to the mission field in the months and years ahead.
