Outreach
It is probably easiest to think of outreach in terms of both ‘local’ and ‘global’ outreach. Local outreach is the church’s passion to meet needs in and around Bakersfield, whether it’s across the street or across the city. In order to make a difference “locally” we support various organizations whose mission is to touch lives in Bakersfield in different ways. You can contact those agencies by searching the menu to the right.
Global outreach operates very differently. Short-term mission teams are sent to countries for a few weeks to engage in a specific project. Some people choose to go for a year. Some from LBC who have gone for a shorter period have become long-term missionaries and now consider it their ‘career.’
So check out the menu options and learn more about ‘outreach’ at LBC. The goal is to help people find Jesus and become part of the discipleship process where we worship Him, grow in our relationship and serve Him, either in Bakersfield or across the globe.
