Our passion is to meet needs in and around Bakersfield through partnerships with Local Agencies.
This year we have a special focus on the Tuesday Night Homeless Ministry and International Students at Cal State. Both of these are led by LBC members and have a huge impact on our city.
Tuesday Night Homeless Ministry: Provide a meal and Christian love for the homeless community on Tuesday evenings at 6:45pm at the Rescue Mission. We are always in need of bananas, 4lb cans of tuna, coffee and sandwich makers! Volunteer to serve as an individual, a family or a small group. Become a Friendship Partner with an International Student: There are opportunities to serve behind the scenes at events or one-on-one with students who are far from home. Become a language partner, take them to a football game, have them to dinner…the options are endless! God has brought the world right here to Bakersfield and you can be a part of that.
