TRUTH Ministries

TRUTH Ministries is a recovery ministry of LBC. The main emphasis of TRUTH Ministries is to reach out to those suffering from addictions, as well as their families and bring them to the truth, comfort and healing of Jesus Christ. Bible studies, support groups and proven curriculum are the tools used, in a confidential, safe manner in order to reach out to our church family and our community.

TRUTH meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in room C109.

For more information contact Ken and Vickie Beggs.

Women Of Worth

Women of Worth is a support and encouragement group for women who are either widowed or divorced. The group enlists facilitators, special speakers and social activities to help group members find comfort and strength and friendship in our Lord Jesus Christ as well as from one another. The group meets the last Sunday of each month from 4:00-6:00 pm in room A103 at LBC. We also meet the second Saturday of each month for a Dinner/Game Night at Cindy Selfridge’s home at 5:30 pm.

For more information please contact Cindy Selfridge at 205-5659.

“…the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received for God.” 2 Cor. 1:3-4

Reflections

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is Spirit.” — II Corinthians 3:18

Reflections is an 10-week Bible study designed for women who have personally experienced abortion. Using the “Forgiven & Set Free” study written by Linda Cochrane, Reflections is a safe, confidential haven to address the complex issues that result from abortion, and a pathway to experience the healing, grace and freedom God desires to give. Reflections is a ministry of Hope, Freedom, and ultimately, Joy. This study is offered once a year beginning in January. If you are interested in this study for yourself or a friend, please call our confidential phone line at 661-599-2307 or email us at Reflections.

“I have watched it happen – the Ministry of Reflections has ‘set women free’ from the guilt and shame of the devastation of abortion. When Jesus said, ‘My grace is sufficient,’ He meant it literally. My heart and faith have been touched as I have seen women experience ‘joy instead of mourning, offered praise instead of being in despair and have replaced ashes for a crown of beauty.’ (Isaiah 61) Prayer is vital to this ministry and I thank God for the opportunity He has given me to pray for all the faces of Reflections, past, present, and future. How He longs for us all to be ‘forgiven and set free’ and to experience the abundant life that He describes for each of us. Do you hear his voice calling out your name? Join the many other who have.” – Carol Boschman
